Our winged sumac seeds are wild-harvested by hand from native stands. They are not chemically treated, hybridized, or processed beyond cleaning. We guarantee that the seeds you receive are clean, viable, and the species pictured: winged sumac (Rhus copallinum).
Winged sumac is a wild native species. Germination is naturally uneven, and our seeds are not pre-stratified, so success on the grower's end depends on scarification, stratification, soil, watering, and climate. See our planting guide for the full procedure.
We do not guarantee any specific germination percentage on an individual seed order. We do guarantee that the seed is clean, viable, and correctly identified. Typical results with proper handling fall in the 30 to 40 percent range, which is normal for native seed.
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for any reason. Email [email protected] with your order number to start a return. Buyer pays return shipping. A full refund is issued to the original payment method once the unopened seed pack is received back.
If your order arrives damaged or doesn't arrive at all, email us with your order number and we'll make it right (replacement seeds or refund, your choice). No return shipping required for damaged or lost orders.
